It was the founder of Artists With MCS - Moon McNeill - who has collaborated with NoPity Shirts to produce the Perfume Leaves Me Breathless line of gear.
Created by Sharon Wachsler, these cartoon postcards "take a twisted look at life with a disability." Most of the postcards are relevant to people with ME/CFS, environmental illness/MCS, and other chronic conditions and illnesses.
The Nth Degree, Dan Wilkins' baby, was one of the first "Disability Pride" website that I ever saw on the net and at the time it blew my mind apart. It still blows my mind today - I visit it often when I need some refuelling of my disability pride, just to look at their amazing shirts.
They have shirts which are utterly different to mine, as well as bumper stickers and posters and each one is a work of art in itself. I own several Nth Degree shirts and I adore every one of them.
But You Don't Look Sick? is a wonderful site that focusses on those people with invisible chronic illnesses and invisible disabilities. The founder of the site, Christina Miserandino, has Lupus herself and has built this site which includes a brilliant method of describing energy-sapping and fatigue-based diseases, such as many invisible chronic illnesses, called The Spoon Theory. This is a must-read for anybody who has such a disease, or knows somebody who does.
